Was your house move in ready?
Yes, it had been completely redone by EPNIA in 2012.
What drew you to the neighborhood?
We both work in the downtown area and love to walk and explore downtown and be close to things. We’ve always wanted a neighborhood garden and a close community if neighbors. We love the older homes and the history of the area.
Did you do any of the work yourself?
The initial renovation was completed by EPNIA in 2012, but after moving in, we did make a few changes to the kitchen, laundry room, basement, and yard.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Enos Park?
We love the closeness to downtown and the community garden!
Any advice for someone contemplating a move to the neighborhood and/or a renovation project?
Old houses for require a bit of work, but it’s so worth it for the charm!
What kind of activities have you gotten involved with in the neighborhood?
We love visiting the garden, walking the neighborhood, trunk or treat, and going to the park.
What projects have you done on your home?
We updated the kitchen with a double oven, an island, and new tile. We switched the laundry room from the first floor to a closet on the second floor and made what was the laundry room on the first floor into a pantry. We’re starting to finish the basement to include two small office spaces, a playroom, a rec room, and unfinished storage. We added a deck to the backyard and fenced in the front yard (and planted lots of flowers in the flower boxes!).
