Free Electronics Recycling Oct 1-15 for Springfield City residents

Springfield is partnering with BLH Computers at 1832 Stevenson to provide Electronic Recycling drop off for city residents. Beginning Saturday, October 1 through the close of business Saturday, October 15, residents can drop off all recyclable electronics (see accepted list below.) Hours are Monday through Friday 8am – 6pm and Saturday 10am – 6pm. You must unload items yourself – bring help if you need it. Residential recycling only: electronics from businesses will not be accepted.

RESIDENTS MUST BRING A VALID ID AND PRESENT IT AT DROP OFF AND INDICATE THEY ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE CITY’S FREE ELECTRONICS RECYCLING PROGRAM.

Due to the demand for this service, the city is looking into offering a similar electronic recycling program periodically throughout the year. Recycling questions? Call Public Works at 217.789.2255 or public.works@springfield.il.us.
